I spent Memorial Day camping with my friend John and his two boys, Nick and Christian. We camped on the South Platte river, a few miles from Cheesman Resivoir. We had an excellent time! The weather was nice, a little rainy but not too bad. We hiked, played some fun camping games like; throw the pinecone at the cup and camping football. We hiked around Cheesman Resivoir and checked out the burned out forrest left over from the Heyman fire. (A woman started the Heyman fire becuase she was mad at her man....look out!) It was sad to see all of the distruction first hand, but it was nice to see how resiliant nature is and how the forrest is coming back. Please checkout some of my pictures from the trip on my FB page. (yes, i'm too lazy to post pictures on both pages..ha!)
